The SS-285 fairwater returned to the Washington Navy Yard this past week-end. Here are some pictures showing it on its new concrete pad. They placed some rubber mountings along the bottom to keep the body from touching the concrete. The pad is also on a slight angle to allow water to run off. The plaque has not been placed yet.
