| Thought you all would like to
see the restoration work being done on the fairwater and scope shears
from my qual boat, USS BALAO AGSS-285. They put her out of commission in
1963 and cut this part off her, it had been rusting away in the
Washington Navy Yard until NAVSEA decided to move her to Norfolk and
restore her. They plan to display her back at NAVSEA in Washington.
After all these years this is all that is left. At least we have this. T.Spoon, DBF |
